Reason Group at the US Trade Delegation 2023
In November 2023, Reason Group participated in the Business Trade Delegation to the US organised by the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA).
Our CEO, William Scheer, joined a diverse cohort comprising digital businesses, government representatives, and tech leaders.
Over the course of a week, the delegation visited 14 world-leading tech companies in New York and Seattle. They engaged with federal and state tech leaders, Australian digital start-ups, medium businesses, and multinationals.
The experience shed light on the rapid evolution and widespread adoption of AI, with dominant themes being cybersecurity, resilience, and the integration of generative AI into various business applications.
Australia can learn a lot from US tech companies and their innovative approach. As leaders in digital government and innovation, there are many collaboration opportunities that can help us succeed on the global stage of digital transformation.
This marked William’s third trip with the AIIA, following successful delegations to India in June 2023 and the US in May 2022.

On February 1 2024, we hosted the AIIA 2023 US Delegation reunion at our office.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for participants of last year’s trip to reconnect in a casual setting and engage in a retrospective discussion.
